Triton Spirotechnique

The Trition Spirotechnique is a sought after dive watch designed by J.Parmentier and Jacques Cousteau in France in the 1960’s.  La Spirotechnique is a well known French company which makes underwater scuba gear and accessories.  The manufacture Dodane was commissioned to build the Trition Spirotechnique.  In the early 1960’s these Triton’s were more expensive then Rolex dive watches.

This example is in overall good condition.  The lume on the dial is original and shows some wear.  The hands have been professionally relumed in the past.  The bidirectional Bakelite bezel has beautiful patina and is free from any cracks and operates smoothly.  The unique crown at the 12pm screws down and operates correctly.  There is a small scratch on the crystal by the 11pm marker that could be buffed out.   The case is sharp and may have had a light polish in the past but still retains its sharp edges.   The case back has some light scratches but is original and bears the serial number and Triton diver Logo.

A cool vintage diver that is very comfortable to wear and a great conversation piece around the water cooler.
